About the role

The Manager-on-Deck (MOD) oversees the overall performance of a store, focusing on maximizing sales, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate team members, set clear expectations, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Recruit, interview, and evaluate staff performance in collaboration with HR.
• Analyze business trends, develop strategies to meet sales and profit targets, and manage expenses.
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and equipment functionality.
• Monitor financial transactions, control assets, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years management or relevant automotive industry experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams, meet sales goals, and develop plans.
• Preferred background as an automotive technician; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain or hold a State Inspector License within 30 days.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work a minimum of five days, including weekends.

Physical & Working Conditions

The role involves exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and fine motor skills. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.

Pay

Salary ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 annually.
