Job Summary and Qualifications
The Manager of Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for overseeing the administrative, financial, and operational activities of the section. They manage assigned personnel, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate records.
Essential Job Functions
- Directs, supervises, and evaluates daily operations of the section.
- Establishes objectives, develops and implements organizational policies and procedures, ensures effective use of resources.
- Manages assigned personnel, including work allocation, orientation, training, and staff development; problem resolution; recruitment and hiring; evaluating performance of employees and taking appropriate personnel actions; motivating employees to achieve peak productivity and performance by providing clear direction and expectations; creating an effective work team.
- Affirms compliance with quality and regulatory standards established by MHS, federal, regulatory, and accrediting agencies.
- Maintains inventory and equipment service records.
- Schedules preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance without disrupting patient care.
- Administers fiscal operations of the section, monitoring and authorizing expenditures, coordinating financial reporting, submitting a plan and a final report of operational and financial activities of the section.
- Embraces, employs, and executes the principles of the MHS management philosophy (Studer, Methodist Excellence).
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Graduate of a Radiology Technology Program.
- Previous experience in a Healthcare setting (outside of clinics as a student).
- Previous management experience desirable.
