Manager - Diagnostic Imaging

About the role

The Diagnostic Imaging Manager is a working-manager position responsible for supervising the provision of quality care provided by the diagnostic imaging staff and all aspects of day-to-day operations of the department in addition to the day-to-day responsibilities of one or more department modalities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team to create a positive patient-centered culture and encourage staff growth in knowledge and skills.
• Acts as a liaison between department staff and administration, advocating for both patient and staff needs under the direction of the Executive Director.
• Exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices.
• Interacts with patients and other health team members with strong communication skills while maintaining all standards of care.
• Works in a safety-sensitive role subject to WMRMC’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.

Requirements

• Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiology or Applied Science
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Overall supervisory responsibility for CT/X-Ray Technologist, Ultrasound Technologist, MRI and Nuclear Med Technologist as directed by the Executive Director.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ experience in a Radiology service category
• Knowledge of ARRA/federal radiation guidelines
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related health care field
