About the role
The Manager of Diagnostic Imaging Services plans, organizes and directs the activities of Diagnostic Imaging Services at Providence St. Peter Hospital and assigned departments within Southwest Washington Region. The provision of safe, efficient, cost effective, quality imaging services is the focus of the departmental operations.
Responsibilities
- Implements departmental goals and objectives, develops and assures professional standards, and assures a balanced budget in all cost centers.
- Works closely with the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, to assure imaging services are effectively coordinated.
- Captures and coordinates daily operations through close interaction with leads, colleagues, staff, physicians, nursing personnel, and medical offices.
- Coordinates operational activities of the department to achieve goals and objectives.
- Serves as a catalyst and mentor, to include Assistant Radiation Safety duties working with the Radiation Safety Officer, Contracted Medical Physicist and Department Leaders, for motivating productivity, innovation, high employee morale, and commitment to the organization.
- Develops, monitors and effectively regulates departmental budgets.
- Participates in hospital and departmental goals affecting process improvement and maintenance of high standards and optimum working conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Radiology.
- Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist or National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
- Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or National Certification from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Experience in the education of personnel management.
- Two years Supervisory capacity in a Radiology Department.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Five years working in one or more of these positions: Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Technologist, or Sonographer.
