Mammography Technologist - Weekends

About the role

This position involves performing mammography exams to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, adhering to safety and quality standards such as ACR and MQSA. The role may involve teaching students and supporting new technologists, with a focus on quality control and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams accurately and independently
• Verify patient details and provide clear instructions
• Select appropriate imaging protocols
• Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with staff
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensure safety, and participate in ongoing training
• Ensure compliance with clinical and safety standards

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiology or related field
• Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification and Mammography Technologist Certification
• State license or eligibility
• At least 2 years of mammography experience
• Basic Life Support Certification

• Knowledge of radiologic procedures, radiation safety, and equipment operation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and manipulate equipment
• Visual and auditory acuity
