Responsibilities

• Trains with a preceptor to practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
• Learns to prepare for and assist Radiologists in complex mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
• Produces high-quality mammography images for Radiologists to evaluate.
• Develops communication skills to educate patients about the importance of regular mammography for breast health.
• Maintains a patient-first focus and demonstrates outstanding customer service skills.

Requirements

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and current ARRT certification in Radiography.
• If a student, must be in your final semester of a Radiologic Technology program.
• An interest in specializing in mammography as an advanced modality.
• The ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
