Mammography Technologist Training Program

About the role

Responsibilities

• Trains with preceptor to practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
• Learns to prepare for and assist Radiologists in complex mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
• Produces high-quality mammography films for radiologists to evaluate.
• Develops communication skills to educate patients about the importance of regular mammography in breast health.
• Maintains a patient-first focus and provides outstanding customer service.

Requirements

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and current ARRT certification in Radiography.
• If a student, must be in your final semester of Radiologic Technology program.
• An interest in specializing in mammography as an advanced modality.
• Ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
