About the role

Mammography Technologist Trainee positions are available at Solis Mammography and Washington Radiology markets across the United States. Employment is guaranteed following successful completion of mammography registry.

Responsibilities

• Trains with their preceptor to consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
• Learns to prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
• Learns to produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate.
• Develops the ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.
• Maintains patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills.

Requirements

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography.
• If student, must be in your final semester of Radiologic Technology program.
• An interest in training in mammography as an advanced modality.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
