Responsibilities
- Trains with a preceptor to practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
- Learns to prepare for and assist Radiologists in complex mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
- Produces high-quality films for Radiologists to evaluate.
- Develops communication skills to educate patients about the importance of regular mammography in breast health.
- Maintains a patient-first focus and provides outstanding customer service.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and current ARRT certification in Radiography.
- If a student, must be in the final semester of a Radiologic Technology program.
- An interest in advancing skills in mammography as an advanced modality.
- The ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
