Maintenance Training Manager

About the role
This position directs and oversees all personnel assigned to them and reports to the Facilities Director. The Project & Training Supervisor ensures all projects are completed within the set time frame and budget. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a training schedule and curriculum for all Maintenance Technicians, scheduling maintenance, processing vehicle tags, registration, and insurance for company vehicles, and assisting with the Monthly Consumption report. The role also involves onboarding and terminating employees, making recommendations for advancement or salary changes, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain spreadsheets for each assigned project.
- Order and track all materials necessary for each project.
- Track budget, process WTNs, and contractor invoices in Spend Management for each project.
- Perform Quality Control Inspections on all work completed by contractors and upload before-and-after pictures to the company’s shared Google Drive.
- Create and maintain a class schedule for all Maintenance Technician training.
- Lead maintenance training sessions as the senior instructor.
- Maintain a monthly list of all technicians on the Classes Needed & Completed spreadsheet.
- Create and maintain a class curriculum tailored to the site based on training needs.
- Complete all Grade Sheets and upload them to the company’s shared Google Drive.
- Schedule outside training (CPO, EPA, OSHA) as needed for Maintenance Technicians.
- Complete monthly supervisor vehicle inspections on each vehicle assigned to employees under your supervision.
- Upload necessary project information to the Asset Preservation Log (site-dependent).
- Complete quarterly inspections as assigned by the Facilities Director.
- Schedule service for all company vehicles, maintain the vehicle service log, and update registration and insurance records (site-dependent).
- Communicate effectively with the Facilities Director regarding project status, staff training, financial matters, safety, appearance, and inspection results.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 years of General Maintenance/Construction experience.
- 1 year of Supervisory experience.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Strong administrative background.
- Proven knowledge and application of codes, laws, and regulations for the assigned site location.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (minimum); preference for College, Community College, or Trade School Certification.
- All specific certifications required by law.
- Must successfully complete all required courses, classes, and training provided by The Michaels Organization.

Working Conditions
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, if required for emergency, on-call, or scheduled shifts.
- Overtime hours may be required.
Pay
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour.
