Maintenance Training Manager 2
Key Responsibilities
Oversees a team of Maintenance Trainers responsible for tracking and instructing a training pipeline
Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel
Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques
Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments
May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs
May be responsible for development of e-learning programs
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; OR a High school diploma/GED with 9 years of experience
- Experience should be in training and/or maintenance
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
- Must be able to travel to various locations for initial training for a minimum of 24 weeks prior to relocating to the permanent location
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a USAF or Equivalent Mx Training Flight or Field training detachment
- Basic Instructor Course or international instructor cert
- Experience with training content development principles: ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate)
