About the role

As a Service Coordinator 1, you will be responsible for scheduling, directing, and monitoring service work orders while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Supervisor and Safety Department to ensure and monitor the Service departments’ compliance with all safety and contamination control guidelines.
  • Effectively manage Work in Process levels for the department.
  • Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, quoting, and repairing of equipment.
  • Process technician labor hours through various time collection systems and in Service Link.
  • Issue Purchase Orders to vendors.
  • Manage Concur Expense Accounts.
  • Work seamlessly with the Parts Departments to provide the best Product Support available to customers.
  • Effectively support and communicate with parts and service department associates.
  • Promptly review work schedule at the start of shift, check equipment and supplies required, and prepare for operations.
  • Monitor warranty repairs and review product improvement and support programs to ensure accuracy.
  • Assign or perform general housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Earned a High School Diploma.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in a similar industry.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable to ever-changing business demands.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Positively engaged employee.
  • Adheres to and promotes company values and actions.
  • Able to operate in an environment with minimal supervision.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit.
  • Must frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Depending on site location, may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment.
  • May occasionally be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
  • May occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in some work environments is occasionally loud.
