About the role
Recess Hotel & Club is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven Shop Coordinator to support the daily operations of our retail experience. The Shop Coordinator plays an important role in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for hotel guests, club members, and visitors while ensuring the shop remains organized, well-stocked, and visually compelling.
What you'll do
- Deliver warm, personalized service to guests and club members while creating a welcoming shopping experience
- Assist guests with product selections, purchases, and general inquiries
- Accurately process sales, returns, exchanges, and transactions through the point-of-sale system
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure products are displayed in an appealing and organized manner
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to leadership
- Receive, unpack, tag, and organize incoming merchandise deliveries
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, and stockroom organization
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout the retail space and storage areas
- Support seasonal merchandise transitions, promotional displays, and special retail activations
- Develop a thorough knowledge of product offerings, brands, and featured merchandise
- Build relationships with guests and club members through genuine hospitality and personalized service
- Auxiliary support for administrative and operational tasks related to retail operations as assigned
- Collaborate with hotel, club, and operational teams to support a seamless guest experience
- Uphold company standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a professional and polished environment
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality, luxury service, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for hospitality, retail, and creating memorable guest experiences
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management processes preferred
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar platforms
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to lift, move, and organize merchandise and retail supplies as needed
- Professional presentation and grooming standards
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional special events as business needs require
