Job Summary

The Evening Shift Team Lead reports directly to the shop floor Supervisors and is responsible for hour-by-hour operation on the shop floor.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Aid the Supervisors in managing the daily production and distribution flow.
• Aid the Supervisors in logistically managing the deployment of shop floor personnel.
• Resolve daily SAP report issues and act as point of contact for identification and resolution of area data process errors.
• Recommend process and/or system changes to enhance safety/productivity/quality.
• Work with Supervisors and plant personnel to improve system knowledge base.
• Communicate with other departments on order status and plant required tasks (delivery deletion, production order status, transfer order generation, etc).
• Assist in employee training in interfacing with SAP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Skills

• Operate independently with little guidance while being a positive contributor to a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a working knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management.
• Lead by example and have a proven record of excellence in attendance, dependability and safety.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, flexible, and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation.
• Computer literacy with a familiarity of MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Minimum of two years manufacturing and/or distribution experience.
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP/RF/Operations preferred.

Education

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED.
