General Manager

About the role

The General Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and financial performance of the location. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, and managing staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and achieving budgeted goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages hiring, scheduling, training, and performance of Team Members
• Maintains profit and loss statement
• Ensures strict adherence to and enforcement of all company safety policies and procedures
• Completes performance evaluations on new hires and all employees annually
• Conducts daily safety meetings and coaching sessions
• Approves payroll and manages product and equipment inventories
• Reviews work orders and service tickets for accuracy
• Solves problems that cannot be handled at a lower level
• Conducts shop training meetings and communicates pricing promotions and policy changes
• Evaluates and documents return jobs and communicates to corporate office
• Updates national accounts and ensures all procedure manuals are available for employees
• Works alongside Team Members on the shop and sales floors
• Provides friendly and competent customer service
• Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled
• Assists with other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current valid driver's license and insurable to drive
• Basic keyboarding and computer skills
• Able to work a minimum of 50 hours per week
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and as needed
• Able to communicate in English

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a current valid driver's license and ability to get DOT, TIA, and other certifications
• Must be able to work independently and manage a team of 5 or more employees
