About the role

Functions as part of the management team, performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties related to clinical staff management and patient care. Duties may include quality monitoring, patient assessments, direct patient care, and patient/caregiver/staff education. Provides safe, therapeutic, efficient quality care and services to all patients served.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe environment for both patients and employees by managing internal office functions related to clinical care and quality monitoring.
  • Ensures the required documentation of quality control inspections are completed, which may include documentation of temperature readings, expiration date assessment, and the maintenance of emergency supplies and equipment.
  • In consultation, assigns and delegates tasks to the clinical support staff in accordance with the State Board of Nursing Licensing Regulations and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Ensures an efficient day-to-day clinical workflow within the practice. Assures staff function in accordance with standard workflow procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies including OSHA, CLIA, Vaccines for Children (VFC), Department of Health, Federal Meaningful Use Standards, etc.
  • Coordinates efforts with employee health to ensure that all office staff receive an annual flu vaccination or receive approval for exemption from employee health.
  • Audits staff performance where indicated, and when necessary (Planned Care) – i.e. Standing Orders and Exam Room Support, PCMH, Diagnostic Test Tracking, Med Reconciliation and PCMN.
  • Serves in a leadership role as a member of the Quality Improvement Team (QIT), seeking to improve quality and safety through a high performing team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Diploma Program From an accredited LPN program.
  • Required Work Experience: 3 years Clinical nursing experience.
  • Preferred Licenses: Licensed Practical Nurse Upon Hire Required orLicensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required andBasic Life Support Upon Hire Required.
  • Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Excellent interpersonal/communications skills. Models teamwork. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
