About the Role

The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) in the Regional Float Pool provides individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in the East Region. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on nursing standards, utilizing theoretical knowledge in practice.

This role involves floating between designated hospitals and working in diverse units such as Med/Surg, ICU, Emergency, Oncology, and more. It offers opportunities to build clinical assessment and communication skills, collaborate with various teams, and adapt to different patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
  • Float across multiple units and facilities within the region.
  • Serve patients in diverse clinical settings, including Med/Surg, ICU, Emergency, and Oncology.
  • Develop clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Adapt to varying patient populations and unit protocols.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Current LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum one year of recent bedside LPN experience; two years for specialty units.
  • Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and IV certification as applicable.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
