About the Role
The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) in the Regional Float Pool provides individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in a dynamic environment. The position involves floating between hospitals, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and deliver direct care.
- Collaborate with diverse healthcare teams.
- Adapt to various units such as Med/Surg, ED, ICU, and more.
- Support patients through their treatment journey.
- Ensure compliance with certifications and maintain current licensure.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited LPN program.
- Current LPN license.
- Minimum of 1-year recent bedside LPN experience (2+ years for critical care).
- Certifications including BLS and IV certification.
- Additional certifications like ACLS or PALS may be required based on unit.
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and patient handling.
- Flexibility to float across various facilities and units.
