About the Role

The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) in the Regional Float Pool provides individualized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across multiple facilities in a dynamic environment. The position involves floating between hospitals, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with nursing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and deliver direct care.
  • Collaborate with diverse healthcare teams.
  • Adapt to various units such as Med/Surg, ED, ICU, and more.
  • Support patients through their treatment journey.
  • Ensure compliance with certifications and maintain current licensure.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited LPN program.
  • Current LPN license.
  • Minimum of 1-year recent bedside LPN experience (2+ years for critical care).
  • Certifications including BLS and IV certification.
  • Additional certifications like ACLS or PALS may be required based on unit.
  • Physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and patient handling.
  • Flexibility to float across various facilities and units.
