LPN or Med Aide - Hospice - Full-Time Nights

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Med Aide (MA) to join a cottage hospice team dedicated to providing patient-centered, comfort-focused care during a significant life stage. The role emphasizes making a profound impact through compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Support symptom management, emotional comfort, and dignity for patients and families.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs.
• Administer treatments and medications.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Unencumbered LPN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Skills

• Knowledge of nursing principles, medication effects, and patient education.
• Proficiency in treatments, including IV therapy if applicable.
• Understanding of safety precautions.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts from 6 am to 6 pm.
• Every third weekend and every other holiday required.
• Self-scheduling and flexibility for LPNs working toward RN licensure.
