About the Role
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice cottage setting during a meaningful life stage.
Responsibilities
- Implement and evaluate care for stable, predictable patients of all ages.
- Support symptom management, emotional comfort, and dignity.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver personalized care.
- Administer treatments and medications, conduct assessments, and interpret patient data.
- Ensure safety, comfort, and well-being of patients/residents in a home care environment.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Unencumbered LPN license with state or multi-state licensure privileges.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, medication effects, safety precautions, and patient education.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; IV therapy skills if required by state.
- Preferably one year of professional nursing experience.
Key Duties
- Provide comfort-focused care with a patient ratio of 1:4.
- Participate in care planning and assessments.
- Support self-care education for patients and families.
- Maintain competency and certifications specific to the home care setting.
