LPN Medical Service Coordinator

About the role

Lead a clinical team in providing comprehensive care at Hertford County Jail, NC. This position offers a 3/4 10-hour day shift rotation and weekend EVO (Extended Visitation Opportunities).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with healthcare policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with medical staff to provide necessary medical services and support.
• Manage medication administration and record keeping accurately.
• Assist in patient assessments and develop care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to inmates as part of their care team.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and address any issues.

Requirements

• Current LPN license in North Carolina.
• At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience working with individuals in correctional facilities.
• Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse disorders.
