LPN Medical Service Coordinator

About the role

Lead a clinical team in providing comprehensive care at Hertford County Jail, NC. This position offers a 3/4 10-hour day shift rotation and weekend on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the medical service team
• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and health education
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and other jail staff to ensure continuity of care
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and timely
• Assist in managing inventory and supplies for the medical unit

Requirements

• Current LPN license in North Carolina
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar healthcare setting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
