Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real time and transcribe physician orders
• Monitor residents for symptoms, adverse reactions, and health changes, reporting promptly
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs) and support care plan updates
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with standards
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents

Qualifications & Skills

• Active LPN license in good standing
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred

This role is vital in preventing medication errors, early detection of health issues, and ensuring resident safety through clinical precision and adherence to regulations.
