Role Overview
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides essential nursing care within medical practices, collaborating with physicians, registered nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather and record patient measurements and data
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with treatments
- Perform supportive care tasks under clinical direction
- Support patient self-care and management plans
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and a safe work environment
- Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and team communication
- Respond to patient requests and communicate effectively with healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Current New York State LPN licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 weeks of hire
