Essential Responsibilities
- Performs general nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards.
- Affords assistance in the preparation of equipment and assists the physician/clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Collects assessment data, prepares patients for examination, and documents clinical information on patient records.
- Orders diagnostic tests as directed by registered nurse or physician/clinical provider and gathers diagnostic test results for physician/clinical provider assessment.
- Schedules procedures and obtains authorizations as necessary.
- Might administer injections or medications, collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, and prepare them for testing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current state licensure as an LPN or LVN OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- CPR – American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Preferred: 0-1-year healthcare experience, State approved IV course certification, Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process, PALS or ACLS may be required based on the specific area of practice.
