LPN - Cardiac Surgery - Full Time

About the Role

Registered Practical Nurse in a Cardiac Surgery Unit, providing care for pre- and post-operative cardiac patients, vascular patients, and general medical overflow.

Responsibilities

• Support a multidisciplinary team
• Care for patients requiring IV therapy
• Build clinical skills related to cardiac and vascular care
• Earn credentials such as ACLS
• Participate in ongoing education

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience
• Current licensure as a Registered Practical Nurse in the state

Qualifications

• Certifications such as BLS (required)
• ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and unit-specific credentials may be required or developed post-hire

Skills & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Perform physical tasks including gripping, reaching, bending, and kneeling
