LPN - Cardiac Intermediate

Position Overview: Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or direction of a licensed healthcare professional, ensuring professional accountability and coordination with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Unit Details: Works in a 28-bed intermediate ICU (Progressive Care Unit) specializing in high-acuity care for post-operative cardiothoracic, vascular, and medical overflow patients. Performs therapies such as chest tube management, lytic therapy, antidysrhythmics, vasopressors, Bipap, insulin drips, and sedatives. Collaborates with Neuro Trauma PCU and ICUs, with opportunities for cross-training and career advancement into ICU units. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent education and licensure.Current LPN license in the state of practice, maintained per State Board requirements.Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and turn patients, with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.Open to new or experienced LPNs.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; IV certification preferred.
