LPN - Cardiac Intermediate

About the role

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or as directed by a licensed professional. Ensures professional accountability, coordinates care with departments, and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-acuity care in a 28-bed intermediate ICU for post-operative cardiothoracic, vascular, and medical patients.
• Manage therapies such as chest tubes, lytic therapy, antidysrhythmics, vasopressors, Bipap, insulin drips, and Precedex.
• Collaborate with Neuro Trauma and ICU teams.
• Participate in mentoring.
• Pursue career advancement opportunities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience.
• Current LPN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• IV certification preferred.
• Physical demands include standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Open to new or experienced LPNs.
