About the role
Recruit and place assigned or referred healthcare professionals (HCPs) to assignments throughout the U.S. Develop and maintain a pool of qualified HCPs within your designated specialty, while coordinating presentations of candidates to account personnel to meet client needs. Build long-term relationships with HCPs for ongoing assignment opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Execute strategies to recruit viable HCPs from all sources, including referrals from eligible conference leads, working personnel, and former eligible candidates.
- Sell current and upcoming locum tenens opportunities to HCPs and submit qualified candidates to fill open positions; collaborate with account personnel to generate positions for HCPs seeking specific locations.
- Build and maintain an active foundation of working HCPs and a sustained pipeline for prospective business.
- Complete screenings for potential candidates and evaluations according to company and client standards.
- Maintain minimum monthly submissions of new and existing candidates, presentations, and outbound calls.
- Communicate with candidates regarding compensation, client needs, assignment details (including travel and housing), professional liability, orientation, and timesheet processing.
- Maintain and update all candidate and HCP information, sell pitches, and communications in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Ensure all required documents are attached in the ATS.
- Develop marketing strategies to attract new candidates that convert to working HCPs.
- Negotiate rates with required parties to maintain acceptable margins.
- Meet individualized annual gross revenue goals.
- Forecast annual, seasonal, and industry lulls and strategize plans to combat market/industry changes.
- Regularly interface with all necessary parties and follow up with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to HCPs and internal/external customers, resolving issues promptly and according to company standards.
- Attend conventions, conferences, workshops, and other industry events as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, including inside/outside sales, sourcing, qualifying, networking, and relationship building, or equivalent sales experience preferably in a healthcare staffing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel including pivot tables and formulas), Calendar, Teams, and Windows-based database systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, effective phone presentation, and strong customer service abilities.
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Ability to problem-solve and negotiate rates.
- Strong written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, healthcare, or related disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
