About the role
This position is for a Gastroenterologist providing inpatient and outpatient care in a hospital setting. You will work alongside 2 physicians and 2 APPs, with access to on‑site lab and X‑Ray. All services are onsite, utilizing Cerner EMR. The role involves collaboration within a hospital environment to deliver comprehensive gastroenterology care.
Responsibilities
- Perform 18 outpatient and 20 inpatient endoscopies daily
- Handle consultations
- Provide coverage for endoscopy and related services within scheduled hours
Qualifications and Skills
- Michigan (MI) medical license
- DEA certification
- Strong clinical skills in gastroenterology
- Ability to manage inpatient and outpatient cases
- Proficiency with endoscopic procedures
Schedule
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No night call; 24‑hour weekend call coverage is provided.
