Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon

This role involves providing cardiothoracic surgical coverage in a hospital-based setting, including inpatient, operating room, and emergency room duties. Perform procedures such as coronary bypass, aortic and mitral valve surgeries, thoracic surgeries, and aortic dissection repairs.Serve on beeper call for emergent cases, conduct inpatient rounding, and manage solo call coverage across multiple settings.Work with a support team of three advanced practice providers to ensure continuity of care.Maintain flexibility to cover weekend call and surgeon leave periods.Qualifications include competency in specified procedures; board certification is negotiable; Iowa license or IMLC is advantageous.
