Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon

About the role

This role involves providing cardiothoracic surgical call coverage in both operating room and emergency room settings. The surgeon will work on-site for a 24-hour shift, offering clinical care during the coverage period, including performing cardiothoracic procedures as needed. The patient population spans all ages, and the work is fully on-site.

Support staff, including an RN, will assist during shifts. The role offers comprehensive support, including credentialing and assignment management, ensuring a seamless experience for clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgical call coverage in operating room and emergency room settings
• Perform cardiothoracic procedures as needed during 24-hour shifts
• Manage variable case loads and provide emergency coverage
• Deliver quality patient care in a dynamic environment with a focus on surgical procedures and emergency response

Requirements

• Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery
• Preferably hold an Arizona medical license
