Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon

About the Role

We are seeking a Board-Certified Medical Doctor (MD) to provide locum tenens coverage in a full-service acute care hospital with 250 beds, including 60 ICU beds. The facility supports advanced practice clinicians and offers comprehensive onsite services, serving an adult patient population in Springfield, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert surgical care in cardiothoracic procedures
• Maintain clinical documentation using the EPIC EMR system
• Participate in on-site patient management
• Handle operating room and clinic duties, with clinic hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Provide call coverage, including billable callback hours

Requirements

• Board certification in an appropriate specialty
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment

Schedule

• Clinic hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Flexible shift options, including day, night, and 24-hour shifts
• Call coverage with billable callback hours
