Locum Anesthesiologist

About the role

This position requires an Anesthesiologist (MD) to provide day shift coverage in a community hospital's operating room, supporting a variety of surgical and obstetric cases. The practice is 95% hands-on and averages 262 cases and 20 deliveries monthly.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia during routine and obstetric surgeries
• Manage preoperative and postoperative patient care
• Participate in call duties every 4th week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Collaborate with a team of 4 MDs and 1 CRNA

Requirements

• Board certification in Anesthesiology
• Prescriptive authority
• Experience with a diverse patient population of all ages

• Support staff includes 4 MDs and 1 CRNA
• Work location is on-site in a community hospital setting
• Work involves primarily hands-on anesthesia with autonomous supervision
