About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Radiation Therapist for a local contract job in Jackson, Mississippi.
Responsibilities
- Provide radiation therapy services under the supervision of a physician.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and medical guidelines.
- Monitor and adjust treatment parameters as necessary.
- Document patient treatments and progress in medical records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Radiation Therapist in Mississippi.
- Experience in radiation therapy preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of radiation physics and dosimetry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- Current CPR certification.
Skills
- Proficiency with radiation therapy equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
