About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a local contract nursing job in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care services under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
- Assess patients' conditions and document observations accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Current licensure as an RN in Virginia.
- Experience in PACU preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of post-anesthesia care protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Passing scores on relevant licensing exams.
Skills
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
