About the role
The role is for a local contract nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the care of patients immediately following anesthesia
- Monitor vital signs and administer medications as necessary
- Prepare and maintain equipment used in the PACU
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in West Virginia
- Experience in post-anesthesia care unit preferred
- Knowledge of post-anesthesia care protocols
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in computer systems and documentation software
