Linehaul/Shuttle Driver (CDL A)

About the role

This role involves safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to customer locations by driving tractor-trailers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver products according to customer invoices and company standards.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately, including logs, inspections, and invoices.
• Maintain food safety standards, ensuring proper temperatures during delivery.
• Operate equipment safely and report unsafe conditions.
• Build positive customer relationships through courteous service and clear communication.
• Report route, trailer, or loading issues to management.
• Work flexible schedules as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; tractor-trailer driving experience preferred or completion of a driving school.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and insurability.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting/delivery practices.
• Skills in long-distance driving, problem-solving, effective communication, and basic math.
• Ability to operate various equipment and read/write in English.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy loads.
• Adaptability to diverse environmental conditions and ability to work in confined or high places.

Work Environment

The role may involve exposure to various weather conditions, noise, mechanical parts, and confined spaces, requiring alertness and safety awareness. Flexibility for overtime, weekend, and holiday work is necessary.
