About the role

Work as a member of a collaborative team to provide screening, assessment, and treatment (including individual, group, and family) to children, adolescents, and adults who have been victims of trauma. This role involves providing individual, family, and group counseling services in a community-based setting, with a focus on trauma treatment modalities. The Therapist will meet with individuals in their own environment, such as the client’s home, hospital, office, schools, or workplace, and collaborate with community partners and local stakeholders to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention services in the community.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and update treatment plans with input from the client and family.
  • Conduct clinical behavioral health assessments.
  • Enter written documentation into the Electronic Medical Record in a timely manner for all services rendered.
  • Provide supportive and educational counseling services (individual, family, and group) to develop daily living and coping skills.
  • Assist clients with developing natural support systems.
  • Refer, advocate, and link clients and families to additional services as needed.
  • Complete all required agency trainings to maintain 100% compliance.
  • Maintain departmental productivity expectations.
  • Report to work as scheduled and perform duties as assigned to ensure smooth department operations.
  • Additional training and/or certification may be required based on specific program guidelines.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required (four years of professional experience in a substance abuse or mental health setting and a bachelor’s degree may be accepted in lieu of a master’s degree).
  • Experience working with mental health and/or co-occurring issues.
  • LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT-MHSP license, or be a Licensed Psychologist or Licensed School Psychologist.
  • Valid FL driver’s license.

Skills

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods.
  • Ability to develop supportive relationships with persons with legal, mental health, substance use, and co-occurring issues while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries.
  • Knowledge of mental illness and recovery, including collaboration with community partners.
  • Knowledge of community resources or ability to learn quickly.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use concerns.
  • Enthusiasm for influencing positive change in clients’ lives.
  • Understanding of populations affected by mental illness, proven skills in networking among diverse agencies, and strong planning and personnel management abilities.

Pay

Salary range: $51,189 - $71,739. Pay range: $53,250.00 - $74,600.00.
