Commute Time Show on map From Location To Location 520 8th Ave, New York, NY 10018, USA Position summary Healing New York (formerly NYSPCC) seeks a motivated, devoted professional with excellent clinical skills to serve as a Trauma Therapist. The Trauma Therapist will play an important role in supporting the agency’s mission to effectively respond to the complex needs of abused and neglected children, and those involved in their care. The schedule for this position is a Sunday through Thursday schedule with two evenings during the week. Healing New York offers a hybrid of remote and in-person work. Key responsibilities Deliver individual/family therapy and therapeutic supervised visitation; complete intakes, assessments, treatment/visit plans, documentation, and discharge summaries. Facilitate or co-facilitate group therapy sessions Utilize evidence-based approaches (TF-CBT, CFTSI, CBT, DBT skills, MI, psychoeducation, parent coaching). Prepare clinical summaries, affidavits, and provide testimony for Family Court. Engage caregivers, kin, and collaterals to support safety, permanency, and well-being goals. Qualifications Required LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or equivalent and New York State license required 1-2 years post-MSW clinical experience with children/families; experience in court-involved and/or child welfare settings.
