Licensed Social Worker - Part Time 24 hrs Variable Shift

Role Overview Provides psychosocial assessments and age-appropriate social medicine services as a vital member of the emergency department/CDU care team. Responsible for responding to referrals and case finding of high-need populations, assessing psychosocial needs, and developing individualized care plans. Supports patients and families with coping strategies, assists with cases involving abuse, neglect, or legal decisions, and facilitates discharge planning and community resource referrals. Contributes to performance improvement, departmental development, and maintains clinical competency through record audits and education. Qualifications & Skills Minimum one year of healthcare experience.Master’s degree in Social Work and licensure as a Clinical or Social Worker in Hawaii.Basic Life Support certification.Experience working with interdisciplinary teams, knowledge of medical terminology, and understanding of the psychosocial impact of serious illnesses.Strong interpersonal skills, customer-focused service orientation, and familiarity with community resources, family dynamics, and end-of-life processes.
