About the Role
The Licensed Professional Counselor provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders in a clinical setting under supervision. Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based psychotherapy, conducting assessments, risk management, safety planning, group facilitation, milieu management, and collaboration as part of an interdisciplinary team on an adult inpatient psychiatric unit. The role requires demonstrating effectiveness in individual, group, and family therapy across multi-modal treatment settings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy
- Conduct assessments, risk management, and safety planning
- Facilitate group therapy sessions
- Manage milieu and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy in multi-modal treatment settings
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Counseling or related field
- Oregon Professional Counselor License upon hire
Qualifications
- Preferred: 1 year practicum in behavioral health
- Preferred: Experience in substance use treatment
