About the Role
The Licensed Professional Counselor provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders in a clinical setting. They collaborate with patients and support systems to assess and diagnose, utilizing evidence-based psychotherapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral therapy. The role involves individual, group, and family psychotherapy within multi-modal treatment environments, under clinical supervision to achieve licensure.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop risk reduction plans for patient safety
- Deliver specialized psychotherapy services aligned with established standards
- Participate in milieu management, safety planning, and group facilitation
- Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary care team on an adult inpatient psychiatric unit
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Counseling or related field
- Oregon Professional Counselor License upon hire

- Preferred experience includes practicum in behavioral health, substance use treatment, and group facilitation
