About the role
This is a Temporary part-time position working 32 hours a week and variable hours.
Responsibilities
- Practices in a treatment setting under clinical supervision and is dedicated to evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders.
- Collaborates with patient/support system to evaluate and diagnose patients.
- Provides specialized psychotherapy services, as described in the CPT, to reduce and /or resolve symptoms of psychiatric and/or substance use disorders identified.
- Utilizes established approaches and standards; completes assessment of patient risk to self and/or others; completes and implements risk reduction/mitigation plans to ensure patient and community safety; incorporates evidence-based approaches to psychotherapy including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and the recovery model.
- Demonstrates effectiveness in individual, group and family psychotherapy and multi-modal treatment settings.
- Works under clinical supervision, in a licensing board approved plan of supervision to achieve licensure with a Board qualified supervisor certified by the OR state Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology or related field.
- Upon hire: Oregon Professional Counselor License.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year Master's level practicum in a behavioral health setting in an accredited college or university internship. Additional experience in substance use treatment setting.
