Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for assisting in nursing services, supervising staff, and monitoring patient health under RN oversight.
Responsibilities
- Assist in directing nursing care according to the Nursing Practice Act and under RN supervision.
- Delegate tasks to nursing personnel and monitor their performance.
- Observe patients for symptoms, reactions, and changes in physical or mental condition.
- Notify physicians of emergencies or patient changes and implement physician orders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Nursing School.
- Valid license from the appropriate State Nursing Board.
- Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for coverage.
- Ability to deliver quality care, follow medical orders, and demonstrate interest in geriatric nursing.
- Annual CPR certification and participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
