Licensed Practical Nurse - Rehabilitation and Health Center

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing nursing services under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring compliance with the Nursing Practice Act
• Delegate tasks to professional and non-professional nursing staff, monitoring performance
• Observe patients for symptoms or reactions, including physical and mental changes
• Notify physicians of emergencies or patient deaths, and implement orders as instructed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Practical Nurse
• Valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with renewal proof every other year
• Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for coverage
• Ability to provide quality geriatric nursing care, follow doctor’s orders, and demonstrate genuine interest in the field
• CPR certification renewed annually
• Participation in in-service training and staff meetings
