Licensed Practical Nurse - Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing nursing services for the unit under supervision of a Registered Nurse, delegating duties and monitoring performance.
• Observe patients for symptoms, reactions, and signs of adverse changes in physical or mental condition.
• Notify physicians of emergencies and patient deaths; implement physician orders as instructed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing with proof of renewal every other year.
• Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for coverage.
• Ability to deliver quality care, follow doctors’ orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certification annually and participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
