Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing quality nursing care in a healthcare and rehabilitation setting. This role emphasizes compassionate patient care, teamwork, adherence to licensing requirements, and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in directing nursing services on a unit or hall under RN supervision.
• Delegating duties to nursing staff and monitoring work performance.
• Observing patients for symptoms or reactions indicating adverse changes.
• Notifying physicians of emergencies or patient deaths and implementing physician orders.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Nursing School.
• Current, valid LPN license from the licensing board.
• Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies to ensure coverage.
• Ability to deliver quality care, follow medical orders, and demonstrate an interest in geriatric nursing.
• Annual CPR certification and participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
