Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN, Ambulatory Care

Role Overview: Provides routine, standardized nursing care for patients under physician supervision, assisting with examinations, procedures, and patient education. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians with clinical activities and coordinate patient appointments for testing, referrals, and hospital admissions.Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment functionality.Document vital signs, medical history, and encounter data accurately in patient records.Administer prescriptions as ordered and promote patient self-care and health behaviors.Prepare and clean exam rooms, handle clinical calls, and complete insurance-related forms.Notify physicians of schedule changes and perform additional assigned duties. Qualifications & Skills Completion of an accredited LPN program or recognized program equivalency.Current LPN license in the practicing state; RN licensure accepted temporarily if obtained.No prior experience required.Strong organizational skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Additional Information: This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager. The position is located at Blount Memorial Hospital within the Employer Health Services Admin department.
