About the role
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking an outstanding academic to join their team as a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C).
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead an innovative research program in the areas of thin film magnetic materials, quantum materials, or related fields.
- Secure research funding, publish high-impact research, and build national and international collaborations.
- Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, and student supervision.
- Support academic leadership, engagement, and service activities appropriate to career stage.
Requirements
- PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong research track record in thin film magnetic materials, quantum materials, or related areas.
- Demonstrated ability or potential to attract research funding and establish collaborations.
- Commitment to teaching excellence, student engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Benefits
- Remuneration: $150,841 - $173,931 pa Level C / $123,138 - $146,228 pa Level B (plus 17% employer superannuation).
Pay
